22 Million Super 7 Prize for May 9 Lottery

Yes it is that time again when the allure of spending 22 Million overwhelms common sense.

The OLG has been advertising the use of lottery proceeds to fund medical research. Much better than promoting smelly trucks. They must have read my last post.

For some reason I keep getting comments from readers stating that the chances of winning is actually 1 in 13,000,000 - I wish they would actually provide this formula - I do not believe they are correct - just repeating something they saw before (probably in a lottery promotion)- Boys please read my earlier post How to calculate the odds and tell me how those numbers can be wrong - I am waiting.

I am looking at all the Europe cruises that are available - cruises from Spain in the Western Mediterranean,  cruises from Italy in the Eastern Mediteranean, cruises around the UK from Southhampton and up to Saint Petersberg. I could use the 22 million and cruise to 30+ European countries this summer. With 22 million there is no need to worry about the Euro at 1.5 Canadian.

As usual there are no paterns in the last 5 draws:

I use random numbers  - the lottery is random - my numbers have just as small a chance as any formula.

15 Million Super 7 Draw April 18th 2008

Yes my accumulated losses have slowed down the lottery investments.

The opportunity to have a 1 in 10 billion chance of picking the correct 7 numbers is being overwhelmed by the opportunity to spend 15 Million.

Yes the OLG ads promoting buying monster trucks to take out granny - because you can - these ads are motivating me to win the 15 million first prize.

Not to buy big smelly polluting trucks ( not the best message OLG) These stupid ads must have been approved by the same guys who claimed that ticket vendors never stole winning tickets from seniors.

I want to buy a wind mill farm or a recycling plant that produces exercise tracks out of old tires or molds boats out of plastic bags. Something useful and productive.

So here is my last minute fling to win the 15 million.

My attempts to win big or small 6/49 and super 7 lotteries have been as statistically predicted “my 1 in 10 billion chance is closest to zero chance of winning these lotteries “

So now I will convince myself that the volunteer tax of the government lotteries is not entirely bad - we still get health care and arenas in the bondooks.

What better way to get myself all exicited about winning the lottery - change the lottery.

Yep - That once a year lottery MILLIONAIRE LIFE is on again. The thoughts of 25 Million available for trips and cars and “ooo la la” is intoxicating.

Now this lottery is different - you get an eight digit number and the odds of someone winning is based on how many tickets are sold ( or so they say). That means if they sell 100 million tickets I have a one in 100 million chance of winning. 

When I compare with the regular 6/49 lotteries odds of 10 billion - my grade 6 math tells me that I have a 100 times better chance of winning this lottery.

With the incentive pricing of 1 for five or 3 for 10 this means if I bust out the big bucks and spend $10 - I get 3 numbers  - I wonder If I will feel 300 times more lucky than the regular lottery. Hmmm so much to contemplate. Maybe I need an investor ??

Yes the super 7 is back up to double digits the prize is estimated at 10 million.

I am looking at the last 20 super seven draws to add “the illusion that what happened in the past may affect the future” to my picks.  Even though everyone really knows that each draw is completely separate from previous draws it is a urge to look at the numbers trying to recognize a pattern or a tendency.

This human behaviour is the weakness that all the scammers with “guaranteed winning programs” exploit.  I may just close my eyes and pick numbers out of my hat.

My illusionary lottery research results

There were no repeated numbers last week. There were 5 odd and 2 even numbers. The numbers were spread out - 1 single digit- 2 teens- 1 twenty- 2 thirties- 2 forties. The second numbers were bunched - 2 ones, 2 nines, and a 4, 5  , 6 and 7.  Not that any of this means anything because they were all random picks.

 If you have a free system other than birthdays and shoe sizes - send me a line or add a comment. This is just for entertainment or my voluntary tax payment - so anything will probably just fit right in.

Wish me luck as I am not sure what 7 numbers will be put on my ticket this week. I still have a few days to contemplate my big 2 dollar investment.

My attempt to Win a Small Lottery Prize

My attempts to win the large 30 million and 25 million lottery prizes has been totally unsuccessful.

 I am sure that given my recent history of blowing 8 dollars on these big lottery prizes that one would say to me ” try something else”.  So now I will try to win a small lottery prize of only 5 million in this weeks super 7 lottery.

 There have been a lot of repeated numbers over the last 7 draws - so I will pick two repeat numbers - there are several numbers that have not been drawn for any of the last 21 draws - maybe they are over due - I will choose one of these - the rest are by pure unadultered guess work.

Last draw was interesting - one repeat - the other six numbers were all regular and the cold numbers did not show up at all.  The final tally is one repeat, two back, two from three draws back, four, five and eight draws back. The numbers that have not shown up for many draws are: 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, and 49.

Will this week’s draw be hot, average or cold?  I will pick 1 repeat, 4 average and one cold number.

Wish me luck - I have lots of places to spend the 25 million.

Trying to win the lottery and 16 Million Grand prize

I was on holiday for two weeks. We went down to New Orleans and east along the gulf coast to Panama City Florida.  New Orleans was wonderful.

The guest house was huge, clean and inexpensive. There was a real neighbourhood coffee shop across the street where after 4 days we were adopted as regulars. The coffee and home made muffins were great. We walked through the French Quarter at all times of the day and night with absolutely no problems. We toured the warehouse arts section, Garden district, riverfront walk ways, cemetaries, city park and drove all through the flooded ninth ward. We saw the pink tents but no Brad Pitt, Larry King or Angelina.  We even got to see the Toronto Rapters beat the New Orleans Hornets at the Hive for $45. We were only 10 rows up from the floor and could see them sweat. The price in Toronto would have been over $150.  The New Years evening show in Jackon Square was good even with the politicians talking up a storm. We will go back.

With the travel bug creating that itch to travel - it is time to try and win the lottery to pay for my dream of full time travel.

When I look at the last few draws - there were 3 repeated numbers from the previous draw - usually there are just one or two repeats. Will this next draw be also 3 repeats or none ??? Should I consider all last week’s numbers as hot or cold?  The numbers that have not shown up for many draws are: 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, and 49.  Will they finally just show up. All the other numbers show average tendencies.

I think I will play 2 hot, two average and two cold numbers  on one ticket and 1 hot, 3 average and 2 cold on the second ticket.  Wish me luck !!

Dreaming about the 30 Million Lottery Prize

Yes the thought of winning 30 million dominated recent conversation with the annual holiday dinner group. 

There was the usual seven suspects at the dinner all of us working or semi-working with great ideas of how to spend the 30 million.

Everyone wanted to start with a huge holiday trip - weeks in Hawaii - around the world - cruising - safaris - the whole deal.

Then the big house and big car.

Everything after that involves work - planning - investing - managing

 My huge file of scribbled ideas and inventions would be opened with intent - which is much different than todays - “some day when”

My numbers for this Fridays draw will be a little different.

The last two weeks have been single digits, teens and 40’s with 2 repeats.

I will play mostly 20’s and 30’s with one repeat number from last week.

OK - so now my ability to pick 6/49 and super 7 lottery numbers is zero.  My only consolation is that we all know that there is no magic formula to illuminate which numbers to choose.

This week the grand prize for the super seven lottery is over 30 million Canadian dollars. The odds of my winning the grand prize are about 1 in 450 billion.

 This week the grand prize for the super seven lottery is over 26 million Canadian dollars. The odds of my winning the grand prize are about 1 in 450 billion.

 Last week there was 2 repeats, 2, 5, 7,  2 from 8, and 11 weeks back.

I will try a more spread out pattern of picks:

1 repeat, 2 back, 2 from 8, and 14, 18, 30 draws back
